Ashley & Brad | Hilton Head Wedding Photographer

They decided  a long time ago that their wedding would be on a Thursday.  A Thursday at beautiful Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina.  This way, their relatives and friends from Connecticut and Massachusetts could enjoy what the South had to offer the rest of the week.

It was a fantastic idea.  Because Palmetto Bluff was a beautiful place to spend a week.  The scenery was enough eye candy to keep you satisfied for a year.

Ashley and Brad picked a perfect place for a wedding and another perfect place for the honeymoon.  Turks and Caicos, baby!

Here are some images from the wedding day.  Slideshow of the wedding will be up on Friday!

They chose to see each other before the ceremony!

This next shot was a happy accident.  I did a quick shot to check out the exposure.  Totally unposed and perfect.

Kristin & Jason

Since I was going to be in their neck of the woods to photograph a wedding, we decided to do Kristin & Jason’s engagement shots in Harbour Town of Hilton Head.

I got some awesome pictures of the two of them in cool settings!  And it never hurts when the couple is easy on the eyes.

I Found It!

The triplet’s mommy and I have been looking on line to fine similar settees to the one shown below.  Guess what, they run about $1500 and up.  Well, this price does not fit into my beer budget.

But this one sure does!  I am near Hilton Head to photograph a wedding.  I decided to check out a furniture consignment store called Bluffton’s Bargains and Treasures.  Price tag was $269!  I promptly bought it and then worried about getting it into the car.  She  is all mine (greedily rubbing hands together).

She will get a makeover to transform her to the picture above.

What she looks like stuffed into the back of the car.

To celebrate I headed to the Crazy Crab for lunch.

You know how people say you should live every day like it is your last.  I hate to be a party pooper, but if you did that, the laundry would never get done, the bills would not get paid and so on.

What it means to me is to  treat people with kindness and make sure the people I love, know I love them and to treat myself every now and then.

Here is my treat.  Not that I already did not treat myself with the settee.

And the view from my seat.

Evan

This is what 18 months look like.  He is getting big and he still has those beautiful lips.

Picture this.  Mom says he is getting to the point where he will not take two naps.  So when she puts him down, he lays in his crib making animal sounds to himself.  His favorite is the “Roooaaaaarrrrr” of the lion.

One happy and good looking family.

Dad was able to get Evan to make his ‘funny’ face.

Not suppose to go into the water.  Sorry mom and dad.

I think the t-shirt explains it all.

The shirt belonged to daddy when he was a little boy.  The apple does not fall far from the tree.

The World Is Her Oyster

Rox just finished her bath when we heard the rain.  Yipppeeee!  She gets to try out her new Spider Man umbrella.

The romance of rain.

The Studio Look

The two picture sums up the look I am going for in the studio.

I want it to be all shades of white and grey.  The colors of a cold, rainy day.  You will always find me on the back porch during a rain storm.

Also, does anyone know what style the loveseat is called.  Is it Louis, French, Venetian or what?

Another question.  Has anyone ever painted concrete floors high gloss white?  Will it scuff easily and look dirty fast?

These images were pulled from the blog of Freckles Chick.

I absolutely can not get enough of this wallpaper.  I think I will be redoing the laundry room… again.

Jamie Claire’s Invitation

I am the unofficial graphic designer for my best friend.  Here is the invitation that we just finished for Jamie Claire’s birthday.  We can’t wait to be a part of the fun!

Names and phone numbers have been blurred out to protect the innocent.

Happy Father’s Day!

The best present I can ever give Bruce, is a day to himself.

So, Thomas Elliot is spending the weekend with Aunt Kim and Uncle Vince and Rox and I are headed to Moultrie to hang out with my Daddy and Janie.

Here is my all time favorite picture.  It is my daddy and Rox when she was six months old.

And also part of a poem from EE Cummings that pretty much sums up how I feel about these two.  Discovered while watching the movie, “In Her Shoes”.  Yeah for chick flicks.

“i carry your heart with me ( i carry it in my heart).

i am never without it.

anywhere i go you go my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling.

i carry your heart with me ( i carry it in my heart).”

Bruce and I don’t have a poem.  But he says our song is ‘Crazy Train’ by Ozzy Osbourne.  I’ll look up the lyrics later.

Off to Moultrie with my Nutter Butter!

Brady & Cade

“Sometimes being a brother is even better than being a superhero.”  ~ auther unknown

Brady and Cade might of shared a womb early in life but not the same personalities.

Brady is the easy laugh while Cade has to warm up to you and make sure you mean them no harm.  Check out the pic and I am sure you can pick out who is who.

They are definitely thinking the same thing.  Juicy juice and a nap!

Cade

I may be 9 months old but I am already a pro of expressions.  This one really works on the ladies.  I never fail to get attention with my smile.

Then there is my short, dark and handsome side.  Keeps the ladies wondering.  Wondering if they should change my diaper again.

The mischievious look.  It comes naturally.

Yes, I can be a little daring.

But my favorite look.  The look of ‘mommy love’.
