Nikki & Jackson’s | The Gregory House at Torreya State Park

The best surprises can happen anywhere.  Even in the bathroom when you are brushing your teeth.

Jackson knew Nikki was the one.  Why keep her waiting one minute longer.  So what if she has a mouth full of toothpaste foam. She looked perfect.

He proprosed right then and there and she said yes!

Nikki & Jackson | The Gregory House at Torreya State Park

Nikki was visiting a friend at a school that Jackson was teaching. She saw him walked by and asked “Who’s the good looking guy?”

Ahhhh, they were introduced later and a whirl wind love affair began.  Two months later, Jackson proposed to Nikki.

They live in Jacksonville but wanted the wedding close to Jackson’s home town of Bristol so friends and family could all join in the celebration.

First time photographing a wedding at The Gregory House and it is beautiful.  It sits up high on a bluff over looking the Apalachicola River.

Slideshow of the wedding will be up on Friday.

The brooch belonged to  Jackson’s grandmother.

Lindsey & Matthew | Southbend, Indiana

They live in Washington DC but decided to have their wedding in Lindsey’s beatiful hometown of Southbend.  What a grand place to share their ‘I Dos’ with family and friends.

Lots of great moments and details on this day.

Matthew’s young brother Andrew, was a little emotional during the ceremony.  His big brother was getting married!

Bride needed just a little break in the middle of the ceremony.  The Priest did a great job of entertaining the church until Lindsey’s return.  We were in stitches.

The ‘air’ Double Dutch that everyone had to be a part of during the dancing.

The the soft pretzels served late into the night.  Lots of mustard please!

Lindsey & Matthew | Notre Dame, Palais Royale Wedding Photographer

Lindsey was attending Notre Dame when she decided that her summer she would spend interning in Washington DC under the “Dome to Dome” program.

The first day in DC, she meets Matthew also interning for the summer from Maine.

From the start they knew.

Yes, love and politics do mix.  This past Saturday they said their ‘I Dos’ in beautiful Southbend, Indiana!

Slideshow of the day will be up on Friday!

This image, right now, is my favorite.

BUGS!

The Magic Shot!

Yes, the sign in the back actually said “With Complete Healing Care”.  I used my ‘artistic license’ and only kept one word.

Giveaway Winner!

The winning dress was #1.

Now to choose the winner of the $100 gift card to Target!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE…

Congratulations Barb Gillan!  I think Roxanne has made a new friend.  I will email you for your address.

Yes, Christina selected #1 which is an Augusta Jones dress by the name of Sterling.  I even tried it on and I felt beautiful.

I was searching on line to get you a better view of the amazing detailing.  I found this image.

Christina’s does not have the lacey shoulder hugs but I think you can get them added on.  I love it.

Image taken from the Augusta Jones website.

First Magic

It was about two years ago at Pebble Hill.

Sara and Brad were about to cut the cake and I hated the lighting.  I just had to figure out a way to spice it up a little bit.

And boy did I ever.  This is the very, very first time I ever did The Magic Shot!  The first shot I got it right.   Everyone around me knew I got something special because I broke out into a little dance.

I was going through past images to get the new website all nice and pretty and found the first Magic Shot and right before Sara and Brad left for the night.  I still do the happy dance everytime I see these.

Katie & Nick

Nick left South Dakota and headed South to Miami with a great teaching position.

At that very same school, Katie showed up for a teaching position.

But it took a beach party thrown by friends for the sparks to fly.

This past Saturday, their family and friends gathered in Perry, Florida for a beautiful start to their life together and Mr. and Mrs.!

Katie & Nick

The day that Nick proposed, it started to rain.

He was outside of Katie’s front door, on one knee, a dozen red roses in one hand and a ring in the other.

In the rain.

Waiting for his Katie to open the door.

This past Saturday while saying their vows and committing their lives to each other, it started to rain.

Chill bumps.

Slideshow of the wedding will be up in Friday!

The bible belonged to Nick’s great grandmother.  She carried the bible along with her grandmother’s wedding ring down the aisle.
