Laurel Grace’s Nursery

Her Mommy and Daddy moved to Tallahassee two months ago and mom went into full nesting mode to have Laurel Grace’s room finished before her arrival.

The tree and bird is a decal that came from Kohls.  The brown rocking chair was a Craigslist find.  Super comfy.

The bedding and mobile from Banana Fish.

The floating corner shelf from Home Depot.

The dress belonged to her mommy.

The dresser is amazing.  Mommy called weekly to see when it would go on sale.  Two days before the move to Tallahassee it was all hers!

The cool lamp from TJ Maxx.

Nursery for Triplets

Two girls and one boy in one room.  Not only can it be done but done with style!

Hadley, Carson and Reese spend their nights in an apple colored room with brown undertones.  Horizontal stripes are on the featured wall with crispy white furniture to bring it all together

The cribs are mini cribs and were purchased from Our New Baby in Thomasville, GA.

The first thing you see when you enter the room is a little framed saying, “Keep Calm and Carry On”.

This was originally a propaganda poster produced by the British government in 1939, to only be used if the Nazis succeeded in invading Britian.

It is now used in many homes for decorating purposes.  I have seen them where they replace “Carry” with “Rock”.

Mom first saw this wall in the beloved Domino magazine.  She hired a local artist to reproduce exactly onto the feature wall.

Grandma Barbara made all the bedding and the window drapes.

A Philippe Starck lighting feature.  The same person that designed the Louis Ghost chairs.

“Go find elephants and kiss them.”  I tear up every time I read this.  Not sure why it strikes such a chord in me.

Rawlins’ Nursery

Little Rawlins is seven months and spending plenty of time daydreaming in his woods like nursery.

Mom purchased the rich brown wood crib, dresser and cradle from Green Frog Art.  The wood detailing is gorgeous.

She had the bedding custom made first with real burlap ties.  Well they would not tie correctly so switched it out for this fabric which was more pliable.

And the chair came from B. Braithwaite in Atlanta.  I read about this store all the time and have not visited it yet.  Hoping to visit it this summer

Mom use to spend her days in an art gallery in St. Petersburg, so her house is full of beautiful art work.  Rawlins nursery gets to house the Cornbread collection.  He is a folk artist from Georgia.

This reminds me of my fun childhood of feeding the chickens.

The gourd lamp is from Robert Abbey.  Love the blue color.

Right outside Rawlins’ window is a bird feeder that use to be full of the best bird seed that money could buy, but no little birdies visited.  All dreams of enjoying bird sightings with Rawlins flew out the window, until… she tried an inexpensive brand and the birds came a flocking.

Simple, classic and elegant.  They had Rawlins’ announcement framed for his room.  It looks like letterpress.

Dawson’s Nursery

Sand and Sea Glass.

Those are the colors of Dawson’s room.  His mommy loves the beach and was even married at the coast.  It was only fitting that little Dawson’s room incorporate the colors of her love affair.

This is genius.  See the top of the palladian window.  The curve makes it so hard to find a good covering when one is needed.  Dawson’s mommy had a piece of wood cut out to fit the top and then painted it to match the color scheme.  Genius!

Cream on cream.  It makes the letters even more peaceful and calm.

The four poster crib fits nicely with the high ceilings.

Once she found this chair and fabric, the room all came together.  Chair was found in Havana at Weezie’s Cottage Living.

Mom had the closet customized with the drawers and shelves for extra storage.

Note the guitar bag.  To get Mom’s attention Dad jumped on stage and started playing and singing.  Needless to say, music will be a big part of Dawson’s life.

The wardrobe tree.  Mom purchased at Wood You and had it painted to go with the nursery.

Painted especially for Dawson by an artist in Sandestin.

“Dawson, remember when you go into the world to keep your eyes and ears wide open.  And be kind, love one another and take care of each other.”

Nursery for Two

This is genius.  Mom wanted to keep the third room in the house, the playroom.  So for Paige’s nursery, she gets to share with her big brother, Jack.

Mom brought the room together with the cohesive use of the color green.  It tied together the pink and blue very nicely.

All the furniture is from Pottery Barn.  The stylish drapes made with love by Nana.

The decals are all from Target.

Paige’s Nana and her mommy was rocked in the chair when they were babies.  Now it’s Paige’s turn.

Crib bedding is also the handiwork of Nana.  It must be nice to have talent like this related to you.

Best little night light.  You just touch it to turn it on.  From Target.

When Mommy was a little girl, she had her Loli doll.  Look closely and you will see a picture of Mommy when she was a baby.  Looks just like Paige.

Why oh why did I not come up with this idea.

Instead of buying a booster chair or keeping the high chair longer than is needed, you get one of these.  It lifts up a regular chair and now big brother Jack fits perfectly at the family table.

Jack Thomas’s Nursery

When a mom finds out she is pregnant, she doesn’t think about changing diapers and sleepless nights.  She starts planning the nursery!

Jack’s mommy had help from his daddy to make it all perfect.  Dad came in and painted all the stripes.  Good job.

The yellow touches makes it so serene.  The oar peg rack came from Wally world.  Dad painted it the cream color and then distressed it.

All the furniture was ordered online.

His first baby picture.

Mollie and Adalynn’s Nursery

Their nursery is perfect and waiting for the first time they spend the night in their little beds.  Mommy just isn’t ready to be separated for even just one night yet.  Which many moms can understand.

Loving all the touches of pink and green.  Especially the hot pink, polka dotted lamp.

The crib bedding came from Target!  They have so much more for babies on line.

Two of everything.  Until their teen years and Mollie will probably be dressed all in black for her Goth stage and Adalynn will be all in Camo for her tomboy stage.

Just kidding mom!

Hudson’s Nursery

This is the first brown nursery I have seen.   All the white and blue makes it perfect.

Hudson’s mommy has a very talented friend (Claire) that painted the tree and the birds on the wall.  The tree goes all the way down to the baseboard.

The baby furniture came from Suz-Annz Down Under.

So did the awesome rocking chair.  And you can pick your own fabric.  Chandelier is from Pottery Barn and the rug is from The Cottage.

The main reason Mom went with the bird theme was because Dad found it funny that Mom was always ‘nesting’ when she was pregnant.

Owen’s Nautical Nursery

His first Thanksgiving and he is pooped.  Full of kisses and snuggling from his enamored family.

So while he is snoozing away, lets check out his room.  Dad made this cool, I guess it’s called a compass.

I know another little boy that has one almost like this vintage book shelf.

Paper ship collection courtesy of Dad.

Pictures of the grandparents in the portholes.

Claire’s Nursery

When Claire’s mom told dad that she planned on a hot pink Nursery, dad got a little worried.

Heather graduated from FSU School of Design and new exactly what she was doing.  I love it!  And so does Claire’s dad.

The two corner shelves was built by dad with help from Claire’s grandpa.

The dresser was an awesome find for $30.  All it needed was a coat of white paint.  Heather told me that she got the idea placing Claire’s name up and down from one of my previous posting.  Emerson’s purple nursery.

The crib set was put together with love from grandma.  Heather could not find any yellow and pink combinations that she liked, so she picked out the fabric and grammy put it together.

Heather is good.  She found the chandelier for $80.  Wow.

The rocking chair got a new life with some white paint and the big comfy pillow was made by Heather.

She did not even have to sew it.  She took two square minky fabric and cut strips on the sides.  Then tied the strips together.

The glass jar is stuffed with a feather boa.  The purse is from Heather’s rehearsal dinner.
